The Illinois Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce auditions to fill the position of Concertmaster (one year position with possibility of permanent appointment). The audition will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in music performance on a string instrument and/or a degree in music education with a string/orchestra focus or relevant experience.

The Illinois Symphony Orchestra is now accepting video auditions from qualified applicants for all orchestral instruments for our Substitute lists.
