From the enchanting sounds of Wagner’s Forest Murmurs to the intimate beauty of Elgar’s Cello Concerto with dynamic French cellist Camille Thomas, opening night is bound to inspire. Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, recognized as the most famous symphony of all-time, concludes this Beautiful and Bold performance!

Join us for Concert Comments one hour prior to the performance or stay after the concert to mingle with musicians from the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Music Director Ken Lam, and the featured artist at a special post-concert reception hosted by our Guilds. It’s a great way to mingle and enjoy the concert afterglow with other music enthusiasts.
